The head of Audi Sport, Sebastian Grams, recently hinted at the potential for greater power in the turbocharged 5-cylinder engine, without the need for electrification!

During an interview commemorating the 40th anniversary of Audi Sport, Grams tantalizingly affirmed the possibility of further enhancing the capabilities of the inline-five powerplant. When probed about the potential for increased potency without the integration of electrification, the esteemed boss simply responded with an emphatic “yes.” While the specific details of these improvements remain shrouded in mystery, Grams was quick to clarify that a complete overhaul of the engines was not deemed necessary.
